Plas-Tec Fabrication
Bespoke Fabrication & CAD Design Services
COMPREHENSIVE PIPE FITTINGS
In addition to our comprehensive stockholding of pipe and fittings, we provide a fully integrated bespoke fabrication service to support engineered and non-standard installations.
Where off-the-shelf components are unsuitable due to dimensional constraints, load requirements, spatial limitations, or project-specific performance criteria, we can design and manufacture custom assemblies to meet your specification.
Our service includes:
- Site surveys
- CAD design and technical drawing production
- Fabrication of bespoke pipework and assemblies
- Integration with existing systems
Butt weld in any location along the length of a pipe
Multiple Butt Welds at 45 Degree Angles
Multiple Butt Welds at 45 Degree Angles
Bespoke Vermin Guards for Waste Water
Innovative Technology
High stength and quality
We work closely with engineers and specifiers to ensure compliance with project requirements, relevant standards, and installation constraints. All fabrications are produced to agreed technical drawings and approved specifications.
If you have a project requiring a non-standard solution or engineered modification, please contact us to discuss your technical requirements.
The Anti-Slip Collar
Quality polyethylene pipework
The anti-slip collar also allows the inserting system to be used for the types of drains that currently use welded joints (e.g. horizontal collectors, visible systems, etc.), thereby lowering the labour costs and reducing the incidence of fastening systems.
The anti-slip collar consists of two half-rings made of galvanised steel equipped with rounded teeth on one side that, under the pressure induced by tightening of the clamping screws, deform the protective outer layer of the pipe, taking advantage of the polypropylene’s visco-plastic characteristics.
Small cavities of about 0.5 mm deep are formed, where the teeth provide grip to ensure a mechanical axial seal that is not merely based on friction.
These small cavities formed on the surface do not reduce the resistance of the pipe, because the characteristics of the material itself are not affected by surface incisions and because the incisions do not affect the load-bearing layer
(the central one).
Screws with self-locking nuts ensure the stability of the connection over time without the need for a torque wrench.
It is sufficient to hand-tighten the screws until the perforated lugs come in contact in order to achieve the correct interpenetration of the collar on the surface of the pipe or of the fitting shank and thereby ensure the axial seal of the connection.
