Innovative Technology
High stength and quality
They are produced using a PP copolymer compound plus reinforcing charges.
The design of the fittings, with innovative grooves, gives greater compactness and strength even at low temperatures.
The double lip seal is co-moulded onto a polypropylene ring inserted mechanically into the fitting socket.
The first sealing lip stops dust and any dirt, so that the second sealinglip, which acts as a hydraulic seal, always has a clean and protected work surface.
In addition to facilitating the insertion of the pipe into the fitting, the bi-material seal cannot be removed. This ensures a perfect hydraulic seal, even during backflow, and total safety during installation.
The Anti-Slip Collar
Quality polyethylene pipework
The anti-slip collar also allows the inserting system to be used for the types of drains that currently use welded joints (e.g. horizontal collectors, visible systems, etc.), thereby lowering the labour costs and reducing the incidence of fastening systems.
The anti-slip collar consists of two half-rings made of galvanised steel equipped with rounded teeth on one side that, under the pressure induced by tightening of the clamping screws, deform the protective outer layer of the pipe, taking advantage of the polypropylene’s visco-plastic characteristics.
Small cavities of about 0.5 mm deep are formed, where the teeth provide grip to ensure a mechanical axial seal that is not merely based on friction.
These small cavities formed on the surface do not reduce the resistance of the pipe, because the characteristics of the material itself are not affected by surface incisions and because the incisions do not affect the load-bearing layer
(the central one).
Screws with self-locking nuts ensure the stability of the connection over time without the need for a torque wrench.
It is sufficient to hand-tighten the screws until the perforated lugs come in contact in order to achieve the correct interpenetration of the collar on the surface of the pipe or of the fitting shank and thereby ensure the axial seal of the connection.
